New initiative, led by The Bicester Collection and backed by WTTC, commits the global sector to protect vulnerable children worldwide

Rome, Italy: The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), together with The Bicester Collection, today launched the Unlock Futures initiative, a landmark effort to tackle child sexual exploitation and trafficking. Led by The Bicester Collection through its DO GOOD philanthropic programme and supported by the UN Special Representative on Violence Against Children, ECPAT International, and WTTC, the initiative will place child protection at the centre of the sector’s agenda.

With over one billion children suffering violence each year, Unlock Futures will mobilise the private sector to lead prevention efforts, producing a practical guide and roadmap of best practices, solutions, and measurable actions ahead of an action paper in 2026.

The event is hosted in partnership with the Italian Ministry of Tourism, ENIT (the Italian national tourist board), the Municipality of Rome, and the Lazio Region.

Other WTTC Partners include Antonio Lefebvre d’Ovidio Di Bolsonaro Philantrophy, Arsenale Spa, Chase Travel (JPMC), Giacomo Milano, MMGY, MSC Group, Terme di Saturnia, and Trip.com Group.
