The contribution of the Travel & Tourism economy to employment is expected to fall from 305,000 jobs in 2008, 7.4% of total employment or 1 in every 13.5 jobs to 330,000 jobs, 6.6% of total employment or 1 in every 15.2 jobs by 2018.

Growth
Real GDP growth for Travel & Tourism economy is expected to be 11.4% in 2008 and to average 6.5% per annum over the coming 10 years.

Exports
Export earnings from international visitors and tourism goods are expected to generate 7.1% of total exports (AZN1,709.6 mn or US$2,035.3 mn) in 2008, growing (nominal terms) to AZN3,207.5 mn or US$3,089.3 mn (6.7%) of total in 2018.
